News update

As is visiable on the subscription list, did Corse Motorsports bring in some Finnish reinforcements. Sami will join Corse Motorsports and also decided to drive the Ferrari in order to get the best out of the Ferrari and our own performance.
Corse knows him as a very fair and save driver, but except from that being bloody fast.

We are happy to see Sami in RF2 after driving a lot together in previous sims. Let's do some great races together! :)

to all guys who have got problems with rF2 with the new update from December 22nd:

- Copy your "bin64" folder anywhere else as a backup.
- Delete the "bin64" folder from your rF2 installation.
- Process the integrity check via Steam (right click on rF2 in Steam menu / properties / local files / check for errors on files).
- When this is done, you only need to copy your plugins from the backup folder to the re-created "bin 64" folder.

Hello everyone and merry Christmas !!

So, i´m new here, and knew about your website trough the official S397 forum on the EGT Thread for "how to get the mod updated" ;) .Thank you to let me having it.
Correct me if i´m wrong, but to use the "updated" mod, we have to participate to your championship?

Cheers.

Hello and happy new year!

Been testing a bit on Baku and also Baku couldn't change my opinion about Herman Thilke tracks. :/ Anyway... personal opinions aside.. is it normal that the walls really bite when you come too close? it seems impossible to touch them slichtly and continue.. they eat your car alive and it likes wheels especially.

No problem for me if it stays like this.. but I was thinking that it might be a bug.. and/or not many people will see the finish line i guess :D

Hi Danny,
no, it is not a bug.
The walls consist of a lot of single elements and when you hit the spot where 2 elements come together, you hit the corner of one element.
This currently cause the crashes.
Before the 1st training race there will be an update of the track.

The update changes the track as follows:
1. All visible walls will be set to incollidable. In theory you could drive through them.
2. 3 invisible walls (outside walls, inside walls and start-finish walls) are added and placed into the visible walls.
This causes the effect that the corners of the walls which you currently can collide with, are not relevant any longer.

Perhaps this picture helps to understand / describe:

Thanks for the clear explanation Carsten.

So if i understand correctly, there is no need to worry for a dramatic increase of rendering/loading as the newly placed walls are invisible right?
