review of the formation lap

Kevin Jäger, TC 120.522
Exiting turn 2 for no reason Kevin Jäger slows down to 40 km/h which forces the drivers behind to slow, too. As usually each car in the left lane has to slow down more than the specific car in front of it. Finally the last driver in the left lane, Steve Grumpelt slightly collides with the driver in front of him, Silvio Striegler.
But luckily there is no obvious damage to any of the cars.
annotation: As long as the green flag has not been waved, the driver in pos. 2 may be in front of the pole sitter without any consequences.
==> first and final warning to Kevin Jäger

Lukas Hausen, TC 295.114 + 299.512
Lukas Hausen exceeds the speed limit of 60 km/h between reaching the pit limiter line and the green flag signal. (regulations: C/§1/3)
==> 4 penalty points to Lukas Hausen

review of the first lap

C. Näslund vs. A. Gaida vs. R. Nilsson, TC 308.6
Heading towards turn 1 Conny Näslund, Andre Gaida and Rickard Nilsson (from right to left) drive next to each other. Conny is nearly halfway next Andre. When they hit brakes, Conny immediately closes the gap due to less hard braking. When Conny wants to turn into t1, Andre hits his car's on the left rear. Nearly at the same moment Rickard also moves from the outside to the middle and hits Andre's car on the front left which finally causes Conny to turn left around, in front of Andre's and Rickard's cars.
Conny spins out into the gravel. Andre and Rickard each lose a several spots.
What looks like a divebomb by Conny in the TV cam, turns out the be good braking maneuver... perhaps. Compared to Mike Horn's speed into turn 1, we may assume (not proven), Conny would take the corner in a clean way on the inner line. Andre turning in while Conny is still on the inner line, also did not causes the issue mainly. It's the combiantion of Andre hitting Conny and additionally Rickard pushing against Andre's car.
To sum up, we don't think, there is one guilty driver. It is combination of all contacts.
==> no further action

M. O. Thiel vs. J. Dette vs. R. Nilsson vs. T. Hartmann, TC 314.4
After previously described situation Rickard come back on track in a free slot in front of Mark Oliver Thiel who is on the outside line of T1. Mark Oliver turns to the right, nearly to the middle of the road and hits the left rear of Joern Dette's car which immediately spins left into Rickard's car. Rickard turns around 180 degrees and rolls backwards along the track without braking and Timo Hartmann collides with him. Rickard's and Timo's car are obviously damaged now.
First of all, we assume Mark Oliver is going to avoid any contact with Rickard, but even slowing down is not necessary. Rickard is only 8 km/h slower than Mark Oliver when he re-enters the track. It is clear to see, that there is Jörn next to Mark Oliver. So there was no space for Mark Oliver to turn to the right, especially no so far towards the middle of the road.
Secondly it is not Rickard's fault getting spun. But rolling backwards on the track without braking (that's the important point) and colliding with Timo is not what we expect in such a situation. Here we are going to penalize in the same way as we did last season.
==> 8 penalty points + 15 sec. stop-and-hold penalty for Mark Oliver Thiel
==> 10 penalty points + 25 sec. stop-and-hold penalty for Rickard Nilsson

pit exit
The following drivers crossed the pit exit line:
- Timo Hartmann, lap 20, TC 2130.342
==> 2 penalty points for Timo Hartmann

- Martin Ulrik
- Mike Horn
==> The mentioned drivers do not receive 5 bonus points.
